Local 701 is part of the International Union of Operating Engineers that represents our members throughout North America. The IUOE website has many resources for our members.
The AFL-CIO is a democratic, voluntary federation of 57 national and international unions that represent over 12 million working people. IUOU is a member.

The AGC is a trade association representing general construction contractors. Union contractors who belong to AGC participate in the Contract Administration Fund (CAF) which is used to promote and assist programs of industry education, training, negotiation, and administration of the collective bargaining agreements. The CAF consists of a cents per-hour contribution made by Union Contractors signatory to the Five-Craft Agreements of AGC: Carpenters, Laborers (both Oregon and Southwest Washington), Cement Masons, Operating Engineers, and Teamsters.

The Labor Press exclusively covers news and issues about and affecting organized labor in the Pacific Northwest. Their website carries an online version of the newspaper, in- depth stories on key issues, updates on labor events, and archives of past articles.
