Statement Regarding Legacy, Regence Agreement to Continue Healthcare Coverage | ||||

||||
On Sunday, March 31, Legacy Health and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon reached an agreement that keeps Legacy providers in the network for approximately 200,000 patients in Oregon. Many members of IUOE Local 701 covered by the union’s health insurance plan seek medical care from Legacy medical centers and providers. For every step of the bargaining, Local 701 leadership was monitoring the process to ensure the two parties would reach a deal and keep our members covered. Thanks to the work of Local 701 leadership and the Legacy and Regence bargaining teams, members do not have to worry about losing coverage with Legacy medical providers. “BlueCross BlueShield did a phenomenal job bargaining, but we had to ensure our members continued to have health coverage,” said Local 701 Business Manager James Anderson. Legacy has assured patients that there will be no disruption to care. If you have an appointment scheduled at a Legacy center or with a Legacy provider, the union’s insurance will continue to be accepted. Please contact the 701 customer service line on the back of your insurance card for any questions. Read more from KGW. |
